Riphah Healthcare Services (RHS), in collaboration with Special Olympics Pakistan, organized a Free Dental Camp at the newly inaugurated Pediatrics Dentistry Unit at the Islamic International Dental Hospital (IIDH). This initiative reflects IIDH’s growing focus on special-care dentistry, preventive oral health, and inclusive community support. A dedicated team of IIDH dentists conducted comprehensive oral examinations for 26 Special Children, assessing gum health, dental hygiene, early signs of caries, and periodontal concerns. The team also delivered interactive demonstrations on proper toothbrushing techniques, empowering the children with practical, easy-to-follow oral hygiene habits tailored to their needs.
Ms. Amna Yousaf, Program Coordinator at Special Olympics Pakistan, praised the professionalism, empathy, and patience of the IIDH team. She also expressed enthusiasm for developing a formal MoU with RHS to expand collaborative healthcare initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. IIDH COO Mr. Abdul Razzaq Khan acknowledged the efforts of the organizing teams, highlighting how the Pediatrics Dentistry Unit is designed to serve patients with complex dental needs, including children who require specialized, gentle, and structured care.
